How Many hours have you put in?

I got a bit of a shock the other day.

With the 5th birthday of the playstation 4 coming up Sony have made a site that makes a wee video of how many hours , First game played , rarest trophy achieved you have got on the console, Well…. over the past 5 years of owning 2 ps4s including a years break from gaming I have still managed to rack up a total of 1204 hours..

Not exactly major numbers when you think of someone who plays games allot , thankfully it didn’t use my ps3 gaming stats as I played that way more…but… If you divide that 1204hrs by 24 and it totals 50 whole days of my life .. So if your like me and enjoy sticking the console on to relax some nights, but you think I don’t have time to exercise, I am flat out at work, I just couldn’t fit it in… think about this .. over 5 years… even if I cut my gaming down by half that would of been 600 1hr workouts, 1200 1/2 hour sessions. That could make a major difference to your health and wellbeing.

With the 600 1hr sessions it works out that I would have been able to train three times a week for the whole 5 years!

This is one of the major reasons I hear from prospective clients why they don’t already workout at all , the feeling of being busy and unable to find the time.

We all have 168 hours in a week

Out of that you,

Work approx 40hrs, sleep 56hrs (even if you get 8hrs each night) & 3-4hrs at the gym

That leaves approx 68hrs a week for everything else

How many hours a day do you spend just mindlessly scrolling through facebook and Instagram?

I Deleted the facebook app off my phone for that very reason, I found myself just flicking through my feed for ages, then sticking it back on maybe 10-15mins later just to see if anything had changed… stupid I know when I say it out loud.

Another Tactic Ive adopted is leaving my phone in the kitchen, So it isn’t beside me and I don’t feel the need to check it every 5 mins..

And I’ve gone off topic and started waffling as usual.. oops.. well as you see It can be easier than you think to nab a few hours back from other hobbies and past times..

With the half hour sessions you could train 5 or 6 times a week and not miss 2 or 3 hours out of the 68 hours to do everything else…

So how many hours have you racked up in total or just on one single game?
